It’s been a busy ‘hearing’ related month. Last Saturday was the Kick Off party for the Walk4Hearing. Yesterday, a SayWhatClub member, Donna, flew into town. I met her at her hotel, we had dinner and chatted for over four hours. Time flies when having fun. It’s always so much easier talking to another hard of hearing person because they know.
Late last night, the other SayWhatClub member flew in, Jazzy. I met them both this morning for a tour of our city. Why? Because they are going to have their convention here next year. Yea! So we toured the city and hotels. I learned a lot about Salt Lake, especially the downtown area. The company of other SWC’ers is always a pleasure and I enjoyed every minute of it. It’s exciting to have a convention here next year where I will meet many others.
Tomorrow we tour another hotel and they are free for the afternoon. I am taking them on a tour of the Sanderson Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing tomorrow. Our hard of hearing specialist at the Center wants details so she can help us also. It’s a great community and I love it when organizations and agencies help each other out that way. It’s a wonderful world.
